Momo is a young girl who lives in a ruined amphitheater. Her happy-go-lucky nature makes her the child everyone wants to play with. Her unique talent being listening to people, she is the best friend of grown-ups and children alike. But one day, she finds that no one came to play with her, and no one came to ask her for her help. Upon investigation, she finds that the town had gotten into the spree of 'time saving and time banks' , where time could be store, renewed and used in times of need. But is all of this true, or is it just a ruse by the mysterious bank agents, the 'men-in-gray' ,who have turned Momo's beloved city into a city trapped in time?
I really enjoyed this book as the imagination of Momo makes the book very interesting. A broken ship-shaped climbing frame in the park became a fierce pirate ship, and together, Momo and her crew had a gala time, sailing the seven seas in their humongous Pirate ship. Parts like these were particularly interesting to read and enjoy.
I recommend this book to children of 10+
